Depth of talent is a Canadiens issue on both left and to a lesser extent on right wing. It is not a glaring problem at centre ice. where Desharnais, Plekanec and Eller hold the top three spots and there is large group of centremen who are in the wings waiting for their chance.

PLEKANEC MARRIED IN PRAGUE – Comments on Jagr Contract Situation

On Friday in Prague, Canadiens centre Tomas Plekanec married Czech actress-singer Lucia Vondráčková. Saturday he was named runner up to World Championship linemate Jaromir Jagr for the 43rd annual Golden Stick award, given annually to the best Czech hockey player worldwide. At the awards ceremony, Plekanec commented on Jagr’s contract negotiations which have included the Canadiens.
