On December 29th in the Czech Republic, Tomas Plekanec twisted his torso the wrong way and suffered a painful rib muscle injury. He was able to finally participate in full practice Wednesday at Canadiens training camp working on a line with Brian Gionta and rookie Alexander Galchenyuk.

Tomas Plekanec and his linemates continue to ride a hot scoring streak in the Czech Extraliga. Plekanec scored a goal and assist Thursday in Kladno’s 3-0 win over Karlovy Vary Thursday.
Five members of the locked out Canadiens saw action in European Leagues Friday. Tomas Plekanec had a three point night, Alexei Emelin scored the first goal of his KHL season, and in the Swiss League Raphael Diaz with two assists, David Desharnais with his first Swiss League point.
While Andrei Markov remained on the sidelines with his rib problem, locked out members of the Canadiens played in Prague, Finlad plus Lugano and Zug Switzerland on Tuesday..
The European hockey schedule resumes this week after their ten day pause. Tomas Plekanec was the first member of the Canadiens to see action as Kladno played at Czech Extraliga game at Třinec. The other six locked out Habs will play later in the week.
