GAME #3 – Tampa Bay-4 Montreal-3 OT 10/13/2010

Oct 13th, 2010 | By

The finger of blame for the Canadiens 4-3 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night can be pointed in many directions, but ultimately blame must be placed on the heads of the refereeing tandem of Don VanMassenhoven and Steve Kozari who completely missed a blatant trip in front of the Canadiens net with just over a minute left in regulation time that led to the goal that sent the game into overtime. HAMRLIK IN LINEUP VS. TAMPA-Markov Return Close

Oct 12th, 2010 | By

Roman Hamrlik’s right knee injury stretched the limits of the term “day-to-day”. It has been ‘day-to-day’ since September 17th when he came into training camp having suffered it in an unofficial practice session collision with Jaroslav Spacek. Fortunately, the Canadiens coaching and medical staff is more patient than the average fan or even the media, which is always a good thing.
Finally, Hamrlik has been declared fit to play and will be in the lineup tomorrow night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Rumours are also being spread that Andrei Markov is very close to returning as well, which would make him a month ahead of schedule.
