BULLDOGS LOSE 3-1 VS. ROCHESTER TUESDAY-Game Played in Buffalo

The Rochester Americans defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-1 Tuesday night. The game was played before over 10,000 fans at Buffalo’s First Niagara Centre.



MARLIES SHUT OUT BULLDOGS 5-0 – Louis Leblanc Injured

The Hamilton Bulldogs were shutout by the Toronto Marlies 5-0 Saturday night at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. It was the Bulldogs first loss of the season. Louis Leblanc suffered a leg injury midway through the second period and did not return.



CANADIENS NEED GOALTENDING DEPTH

At the NHL level the Canadiens goaltending is solid with Carey Price and his backup Peter Budaj. But, as we found out at the end of the season when Price suffered his concussion, the talent level drops off precipitously when the Canadiens were forced to go to their farm team for help.



CANADIENS SIGN GOALTENDER PETER DELMAS TO CONTRACT

The Canadiens thought enough of the work of goaltender Peter Delmas that they have signed him to a three-year two-way contract. Delmas played all but two games with the Wheeling Nailers in the East Coast development league.



BULLDOGS LOSE 5-1 IN CLEVELAND WEDNESDAY A.M.

Playing a regular season hockey game in the morning didn’t sit well with the Hamilton Bulldogs Wednesday. The Lake Erie Monsters defeated them 5-1 in a game that started at 10.45am in Cleveland. David Desharnais opened the scoring early in the second period, but Cleveland came back with five straight goals for the win. Robert Mayer gave up five goals on 25 Lake Erie shots.
