PERRY PEARN JOINS WINNIPEG COACHING STAFF

Former Canadiens assistant coach Perry Pearn has been added to the coaching staff of the Winnipeg Jets. Pearn was ousted from his Canadiens coaching position eight games into the 2011-2012 season for no apparent or logical reason and finished the year acting as a Montreal pro scout.

The Canadiens played four games in six days last week, winning the last three against Conference rivals Philadelphia and Boston. It was a week that saw the dismissal of Perry Pearn from the coaching staff, the end of a six game losing streak.



CANADIENS DISMISS COACH PERRY PEARN

The Canadiens announced at 6.00pm Wednesday that assistant coach Perry Pearn has been dismissed. Pearn is the second assistant to leave the team since the end of last season . During the summer, Kirk Muller left the team to take a head coaching opportunity with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.



PEARN TURNS DOWN EDMONTON JUNIOR JOB OFFER

The Edmonton Journal reports that Canadiens assistant coach Perry Pearn has turned down a head coaching offer from the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League. Pearn will be entering the second year of a two year contract with the Canadiens.
