Alexei Emelin, Andrei Markov and Lars Eller all hit the scoresheet as their teams won games in Russia and Finland on Wednesday. In North America Scott Gomez had a goal and assist as Alaska won it’s sixth in a row.

Only two of the seven Canadiens playing in Europe, Lars Eller and Yannick Weber saw action on Saturday. Eller was in Kuopiu Finland while in Switzerland Weber and Geneva played host to Lugano. And in North America Alex Galchenyuk had his biggest night of the season in the OHL.

Lars Eller was the brightest light as six of the group of seven Canadiens playing in Europe on Friday night. Eller notched two more assists as Jyväskylä beat Helsinki in Finland’s SM-Liiga. Meanwhile in the Swiss League Raphael Diaz ran his point scoring streak to eight games with a goal and an assist for Zug.

Lars Eller is centering the Finland’s SM Liiga’s hottest line along with Rich Peverley and Eric Perrin. The Canadiens’ Eller, David Desharnais, Raphael Diaz and Yannick Weber all saw action with their European teams Tuesday.

A busy weekend for locked out members of the Canadiens, most of them in Europe as well as some of the Habs Junior prospects. Lars Eller played his second game with Jyväskylä of Finland’s SM-Liiga. Others to see action were Raphael Diaz and Yannick Weber.

Two members of the Canadiens made their season debut in Europe Friday, Lars Eller with JYP Jyväskylä in Finland and David Desharnais with Fribourg in the Swiss National League.

And now there are six. Lars Eller is joining five of his Canadiens teammates in Europe. According to the website of Jyväskylä JYP Eller will start playing for the Finnish SM-liig team on November 16th.

The Eller deal is for two years at 1.325 million a season, a modest increase on his 2011-2012 contract. The Canadiens still have four restricted free agents to sign including defenseman P.K. Subban.

Max Pacioretty, Tomas Plekanec and Lars Eller are making their mark at this year’s World Hockey Championships in Sweden and Finland. Each is leading his respective team in scoring after the tournament’s first four games.

Max Pacioretty scored a goal and two assists as the United States opened their World Hockey tournament with a 7-2 win over France. Meanwhile, Canada shutout Slovakia 2-0. Both games were played in Helsinki Finland.
