BULLDOGS BEAT MARLIES FRIDAY-First of Home-And-Home

the Hamilton Bulldogs, led by Brendan Gallagher and Alexander Avtsin, came away with a 6-3 win over the Toronto Marlies in the first of a home and home set with the Toronto Marlies Friday night. The teams will meet again in Toronto Saturday afternoon.

Predictably, Hamilton Bulldogs are haviing trouble scoring goals. They were beaten 4-1 Wednesday morning by the Rochester Americans in front of a Student’s Day crowd of more than 10,000. Over the last three games, all losses, the Bulldogs have scored oly two goals.

The Rochester Americans defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-1 Tuesday night. The game was played before over 10,000 fans at Buffalo’s First Niagara Centre.

Depth of talent is a Canadiens issue on both left and to a lesser extent on right wing. It is not a glaring problem at centre ice. where Desharnais, Plekanec and Eller hold the top three spots and there is large group of centremen who are in the wings waiting for their chance.
