PLEKANEC MARRIED IN PRAGUE – Comments on Jagr Contract Situation

On Friday in Prague, Canadiens centre Tomas Plekanec married Czech actress-singer Lucia Vondráčková. Saturday he was named runner up to World Championship linemate Jaromir Jagr for the 43rd annual Golden Stick award, given annually to the best Czech hockey player worldwide. At the awards ceremony, Plekanec commented on Jagr’s contract negotiations which have included the Canadiens.



JAGR TO NHL? AGAIN. MORE ON BROCK TROTTER RETURN

It would appear that Jaromir Jagr’s options are becoming fewer. On a day when the KHL’s St. Petersburg SKA says they’re not interested in his services, the Jagr camp has apparently reintroduced the four NHL teams, including Montreal, for whom he would like to play. Meanwhile, Brock Trotter’s Russian agent says his client has signed a one-year two-way contract with the Canadiens after getting a release from the second year of his contract with Dinamo Riga.

At the end of the World Hockey Championships, Jaromir Jagr told a reporter that he would like to return to NHL and named Montreal, Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers. He also said that his former team Omsk Avangard had not made any move to resign him. Not true. Any of it.



JAGR PLAYING CONTRACT GAME AGAIN-Mentions Montreal

Jaromir Jagr is playing the game again. Without a contract with Ak-Bars Kazan, Jagr mentioned that he may be interested in returning to the NHL after three years in the KHL. Following the Czech Republic’s 7-4 win over Russia in the World Championship bronze medal game, Jagr mentioned Montreal, New York and Pittsburgh as prefered stops. In nine world championship games, playing on a line centered by Tomas Plekanec, Jagr scored five goals and four assists.
