THE HAMILTON BULLDOGS CHALLENGE

The Hamilton Bulldogs will enter the season with their fourth head coach in four years. In the off-season they lost two of their top scorers and a key defenceman to the KHL. As well, they lost two of the AHL’s best goaltenders to free agency. They will come into training camp with ten new players including six rookies.

The Canadiens acquired right wing Aaron Palushaj from the St. Louis Blues in return for a struggling Matt D’Agostini in march of last year. The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Adirondack Phantoms 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night. Trailing 3-1 with five minutes remaining in regulation time Hamilton got goals 1:27 apart from Kyle Klubertanz and Hunter Bishop to tie the game and send it to overtime and eventually the shootout. BULLDOGS EDGE SYRACUSE 1-0 IN SHOOTOUT FRIDAY

The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Syracuse Crunch 1-0 in a shootout Friday night at Copps Coliseum. In registering the double shutout, Syracuse goaltender Jean-Philippe Levasseur made 46 saves and the Bulldogs Curtis Sanford stopped 22. Milwaukee, WI – Linus Klasen scored his team-leading 16th goal of the season and added an assist as Milwaukee edged visiting Hamilton 3-2 Sunday at the Bradley Center. Hamilton, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Chicago Wolves 5-3 in front of 5,101 fans at Copps Coliseum on Tuesday night.
