Game #4 – Washington-6 Canadiens -3 April 19, 2010

The Canadiens were able to contain Alexander Ovechkin for the first five periods of the Eastern Conference quarter final series against Washington.   Since then Ovechkin has scored 4 goals on his last 7 shots on goal and after a 6-3 win at the Bell Centre, the Capitals have taken a 3-1 stranglehold on the series.

Game #3 – Washington-5 Canadiens-1 April 17, 2010

Tomas Plekanec called the first period of Monday night’s game against the Washington Capitals, “the best period of hockey we’ve played all season.” Unfortunately it was followed by four goal second period by the Capitals en route to a 5-1 game three victory and a 2-1 Washington lead in their Eastern Conference quarter final series.
