The Hamilton Bulldogs bounced back from a 5-1 Friday night shellacking in Abbotsford to record a 3-0 shutout win against the Heat Saturday. Cedrick Desjardins stopped 24 shots for his first shutout of the season.

Louis Leblanc has two seasons remaining in his entry level contract while both Blake Geoffrion and Michael Blunden have two-way agreements. The Canadiens have called up defenseman Frederic St. Denis from their Hamilton Bulldogs farm team. St. Denis was originally signed by the Canadiens as a free agent out of the University of Trois Rivieres. Like David Desharnais, his professional route started with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. He finally signed a Canadiens contract in July 2010.
