CANADIENS RECALL FORWARDS DAWES & PALUSHAJ

Nigel Dawes seems to be one of those players who has trouble translating success in the American Hockey League to the NHL. He’s not big at 5’9”, but he’s a solid 200 pounds. He’s a good skater, strong on the puck, a willing participant in the physical nature of the game and has great hands. He has 109 goals and 215 points in 221 AHL games. Despite all that, he is in his fifth organization in five years as a professional.

BULLDOGS WIN IN SHOOTOUT VS. ADIRONDAK SATURDAY

The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Adirondack Phantoms 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night. BULLDOGS WIN IN SHOOTOUT (Nov.3/10)

For the third time in four games the Hamilton Bulldogs were sent to a shootout to decide a game against the Manitoba Moose. Wednesday night at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Aaron Palushaj, Ryan Russell and Alexander Avtsin scored as Hamilton won the shootout round 3-1 and the ame 5-4. Last week in Winnipeg, Manitoba recorded back to back 4-3 shootout wins against Hamilton.
