BLUNDEN ON WAIVERS-CANADIENS PUZZLE COMES TOGETHER

The Canadiens placed forward Michael Blunden on waivers today bringing their training camp roster down to twenty-four. The 6 foot 4 inch Blunden led the team in training camp hits with 17 in the four games in which the statistic was kept. If he clears waivers, he will be assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs training camp. An in-depth look at the Canadiens roster follows.

EXHIBITION GAME #2 – Buffalo-3 Canadiens-1

The Canadiens lost their second exhibition game in a row, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Buffalo Sabres at the Bell Centre Wednesday night. The star of the night was 18 year old defenseman Nathan Beaulieu, who led all players in ice time and assisted on the Canadiens lone goal.

BULLDOGS BEAT MANITOBA-TAKE FIRST IN AHL NORTH

ENGQVIST RECALLED-PALUSHAJ RETURNED TO HAMILTON

This Canadiens returned centre Aaron Palushaj to the Hamilton Bulldogs today, but they recalled centre Andreas Engqvist which does not bode well for an early return of Tomas Plekanec and Jeff Halpern to the lineup. With big games this week against Buffalo, Boston and Washington, the Canadiens opted for the 6’4″ 200 pound size of Engqvist.
