  1. Ned Stark says:

Because of my past feuds with Bergevin and Therrien it would only be fitting to fire one over MTs bow to start this off. Exactly how is he going to screw up this home rematch with the Sabres this time?

There are a lot of points on the table inside the next two weeks before the break which ends about 10 days or so from the Trade deadline. I think these next two week’s performance will tell us how committed Bergevin is in seriously taking a run at the Cup finals. He did it once before when he acquired Vanek for a decent package that went to the Isles. If we scoop enough points in this time does that signal to him he needs to pull the trigger on a Duchene or Eberlee type deal to get us over the top? We don’t need anymore 4th liners. We don’t need anymore ‘Character’ guys. We don’t need any Hobbits because we have one that we’d like to exile already. We need more “talented and skilled” offensive players in out Top 6. If we do put on a good show in these two weeks then I’m all IN on going for it with a truly skilled offensive player or two coming on board. Part of that decision is based on the fallback of having Therrien give medical updates on injured players. We all remember last year and how he and Bergevin kept teasing us Price was going to be back real soon. And we know how that worked out. Cue present time and the reinjured knee of Gally27. Dr. Therrien submitted that he would only miss one game. Then it was one week. Now it’s two weeks. Are we going to hear 3wks and so on. We need Gally27 out there every game at full strength and Power Plays. Cross my fingers, but if he has a further setback we are in trouble. The opposing teams do not fear Pleks or DD. Everyone is saying Pleks turned the corner. I don’t think so. Have you seen him and our PK Defense. It’s atrocious and while everyone was always keen to dump on Eller. But there was no doubting the value he brought to the team as a true defender. He’s gone thanks to that goof behind the bench who failed to keep him in his position of Centre and giving him a fair opportunity to succeed. He played a very disciplined game at both ends and it was not appreciated.mi wonder how many more Wins and Points we’d have this year if we had a coach who understands discipline and can instill it in his players. We’re 3rd in the league again in PIMs and a 70% PK efficiency. Yes the players have a role in that no doubt. But have you ever heard that 💩 Behind the bench ever admit he has a share in that responsibility? Never! He’s a coward and let’s his players take all the blame and Bergevin willingly goes along with it. That’s exactly the type of coach that never wins the big prize they are all chasing, the SC. Doesn’t matter what rabbit(s) Bergevin pulls out of his hat. He just doesn’t have the right coach here to see it through, again!
