The Canadiens will be without Brian Gionta and Ryan White for the fourth game against the Senators Tuesday night.
Gionta played with that right arm injury in game three and played a solid, levelheaded game when many around him were losing their’s. We can speculate that the injury has worsened and is too painful, or, more likely, it affects his shot and puckhandling ability.
White has an upper body injury he suffered in the second period Sunday night. He made one four second appearance on the ice in the third period, just long enough to precipitate an all-out brawl with a slash and then a fight with the Senators Zack Smith.
With Gionta out of the game two lineup, Michel Therrien moved Colby Armstrong up to right wing on the Plekanec line with Rene Bourque. The line was effective, meaning Michel Therrien will probably look in that direction again. That would leave two openings on the fourth line. Jeff Halpern will be back and likely Gabriel Dumont.
