Aaron Palushaj suffered a shoulder injury in a game against Lake Erie while playing for theHamilton Bulldogs. Monday he was finally cleared to play by team doctors and the Canadiens placed him on waivers. The waiver period will expire at noon Tuesday. If there is no claim, Palushaj will join the Bulldogs in time for Wednesday’s scheduled game against the Marlies in Toronto.
Palushaj was the Bulldogs leading goal scorer at the time of his injury with seven in 21 games. Palushaj played 38 games with the Canadiens last season and 35 with Hamilton.
Palushaj was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in return for forward Matt D’Agostini in March, 2010.
