GABRIEL DUMONT REPLACES GALLAGHER AT AHL ALL-STAR GAME

Gabriel Dumont – Hamilton Bulldogs

The American Hockey League announced Wednesday that Hamilton Bulldogs forward Gabriel Dumont has been named to the 2013 Western Conference AHL All-Star team.  The 2013 Dunkin’ Donuts AHL All-Star Classic is being hosted in Providence, Rhode Island on January 27th and 28th.

Dumont, 22, currently leads the Bulldogs in points with 23 (12 goals, 11 assists) while also leading the team in goals and assists.  The native of Ville Degelis, Quebec currently has 12 points (7 goals, 5 assists) in his past 12 games including a career-high five points (3 goals, 2 assists) during a 6-3 win over the St. John’s IceCaps on December 28th.

Forward Brendan Gallagher, who was originally selected to represent the Bulldogs, is unable to attend the event as he is on recall with the Montreal Canadiens.

The Bulldogs also announced that defenceman Mike Commodore had been released from his Professional Tryout Contract and forward Mike Blunden was returned to the team by the Canadiens.
