In a 3-2 shootout loss at Turko, Jyväskylä centre Lar Eller was kept off the scoresheet for the second game since the Finnish SM-liiga restarted it’s schedule earlier in the week.   While Eller failed to score, he did register five shots on goal.  In eleven games, Eller has five goals and eight assists for  Jyväskylä.   Former Canadiens draft pick Corey Locke’s goal for Turku with less than ten minutes left  forced the overtime.  This is the third straight time that a Turku/Jyväskylä game has been decided by a shootout.

In the Kontinental Hockey League – Alexei Emelin continues to be a surprising factor in the Kazan offense.  Emelin notched an assist in a 2-1 over CSKA at Moscow Thursday.  After posting three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in first thirteen Ak-Bars games, Emelin has a goal and 4 assists his last eight.  Emelin logged 17:27 ice time.

At Chekhov, defenceman Andrei Markov had three shots on goal but no points as Severstal shutout Vityaz 1-0 before only 2800 hundred fans.  Markov’s ice time was 21:01.
