BULLDOGS LOSE 4-3 IN CHICAGO THURSDAY

Dec 13th, 2012 | By | Category: Hamilton Bulldogs, Hockey-General News

The Hamilton Bulldogs may be inexperienced and undermanned but there seems to be no shortage tenacity.   Trailing by three goals in the third period, the Bulldogs scored two late goals only to fall short in 4-3 loss to the Vancouver Canucks’ Chicago Wolves farm team Thursday night.

Despite outshooting the  Wolves 21-13 in the early stages of the game they fell behind 2-0 on a pair of goals by Darren Archibald.  The Bulldogs at one point trailed 3-0 and 4-1 before they mounted their late comeback.

With two of their top offensive threats, Aaron Palushaj and Blake Geoffrion out with long term injuries and eight of their twelve forwards with less than two years professional experience nights like this one are to be expected.

Along with Archibald,  Darren Haydar and Peter Andersson scored for the Wolves.    Joonas Nattinen, Michael Bournival and Nathan Beaulieu scored for the Bulldogs.   Recent callup from Wheeling, Stefan Chaput had two assists for Hamilton.

The Bulldogs wound up outshooting the Wolves 37-25.  (Box Score & Updated Hamilton Scoring Statistics Below)
