Nov 25th, 2012 | By reusch | Category: Hamilton Bulldogs, Hockey-General News
It was a difficult evening for the Hamilton Bulldogs as a whole and goaltender Cedrick Desjardins in particular.
Playing against his former Lake Erie Monster teammates, Desjardins gave up four goals on fourteen shots before he was replaced by Robert Mayer at 10:28 of the second period. Mayer did not give up a goal the rest of the way as the Monsters defeated the Bulldogs 4-1.
Scoring for the Colorado Avalanche affiliate were Dave van der Gulik, Bill Thomas, Patrick Bordeleau, and Mark Olver.
Aaron Palushaj scored the lone Hamilton goal. (Box Score and Hamilton Individual Season Stats Below)
The Bulldogs with all of their youth were expected to have difficulty scoring goals. For the second time in three games they generated over forty shots and could only one goal. Tuesday in St. John’s they had a season high 46 shots and lost 3-1. In this game they took 43. Palushaj and Kyle Hagel led Hamilton with six shots apiece. Palushaj now shares the team goal scoring lead with Brendan Gallagher at six.
The fourth line of Hagel, Zack Stortini, and Alain Berger was the Bulldogs best.
Notes –
