HAMILTON BULLDOGS RELEASE GOALTENDER SCOTT DARLINGNov 20th, 2012 | By reusch | Category: Hamilton Bulldogs, Hockey-General News
Scott Darling joined Robert Mayer, Peter Delmas and Cedrick Desjardins when he was brought in from the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL November 16th on a professional tryout contract.
His size fueled the Bulldogs interest. Darling is 6’6″ and 230 lbs. The problem has been he hasn’t been able to get that big body in front of the puck often enough to get consideration for an American Hockey League contract. He was released Tuesday and presumably is on his way back to Wheeling.
Darling was in the Hamilton lineup twice as a backup and got into one game.
