The Bulldogs lack of experience and finish around the net surfaced again. They piled up 16 shots on goal in the first period but trailed 1-0. In the second period they mustered only four shots and gave up three more.
Joonas Nattinen scored the only Hamilton goal late in the third period. Undrafted defenseman Antoine Corbin picked up his first professional point with an assist on the goal.
The game was played in front of a Student’s Day 10.00 AM crowd of 10,649 at Copps Coliseum.
Before the game the Bulldogs announced the signing of goaltender 6’6″ goaltender Scott Darling to a 25-game professional tryout contract.
