The cutdown comes as the Bulldogs complete the Sherbrooke segment of ther training camp and head for Trenton Ontario for a continuation of season preparations. Their first exhibition game will be Saturday in Coburg Ontario against the Toronto Marlies.
With the influx of rookie pros entering the Canadiens organization and two or three who would have made the Canadiens it was inevitable that some would be pushed out. Among those re-assigned were forwards Ian Schultz, Olivier Fortier and defenseman Joe Stejskl all of whom will play at Wheeling in the ECHL at least to start the season. All of those who were released outright had been brought into the Bulldogs camp on tryout contracts.
