DARCHE IN LINEUP FOR GAME FIVE-PYATT DOUBTFUL

May 24th, 2010 | By | Category: Canadiens, Stanley Cup Playoffs

Pencil Mathieu Darche into the Canadiens lineup for game five of the Eastern Final tonight in Philadelphia.  That much we know after the news conferences at the Wachovia Centre this morning.  Darche has been a healthy scratch the last two games.

Tom Pyatt will be a gametime decision.  He was on the ice for the final shift of the second period Saturday night and then didn’t return for the third and did not skate this morning..  An “upper body” injury is all they’ll tell us.   If, somehow, he is healthy enough to play, Sergei Kostitsyn is likely to be scratched.

Tonight will be the sixth time this spring the Canadiens have faced elimination.  They successfully held off Washington three times and the Penguins twice in winning those series.
