45-Michael Blunden - Returned to Hamilton Bulldogs

Not much to say about this one.  His fate was cast when Blunden’s check, Mikkel Boedker put the Canadiens in a 1-0 hole in Phoenix Thursday.  Jacques Martin benched him, his night limited to four shifts and 1:43 ice time.

Blunden brought size to the Canadiens and he used it when he could.  But on a fourth line, coaches look for defence and frankly, Blunden will need to concentrate on that part of his game if he wants an NHL career, because he hasn’t developed into the goalscorer he was in junior hockey.  .
