Cammalleri is in the tenth day of what was predicted to be a ten to fourteen day recovery period from the lacerated knee he suffered in a collision with teammate Yannick Weber in Winnipeg October 9th. Coach Jacques Martin says he and the team doctors will make a decision after tomorrow morning’s pre-game skate. After the doctors clear him, the final decision will be based mostly on Cammalleri’s conditioning and timing.  He skated in practice with his teammates for the first time Monday, took Tuesday off and then was back on the ice today.

……..Tomorrow will mark Hal Gill’s 1,000th regular season NHL game. He’s the 12th player to reach the plateau in a Canadiens uniform and the fifth defenseman.
Gill began his NHL career as a member of the Boston Bruins on October 17, 1997 when the Bruins visited the Canucks in Vancouver.  He’s in his third season with the Canadiens.  Tomorrow night’s game will be his 148th in a Montreal uniform.

Jean Beliveau was the first member of the Canadiens to reach the plateau.  He, plus Henri Richard, Claude Provost, Larry Robinson and Bob Gainey played all of their first 1,000 career games in Montreal.  Wearing the Canadiens jersey at the time they reached the milestone were Frank Mahovlich,  Stéphane Quintal, Roman Hamrlik, Bryan Smolinski, Alexei Kovalev and Patrice Brisebois.
