Second of two meetings. Canadiens edged the Predators 2-1 in overtime at Nashville Jan. 3rd. Pacioretty with overtime winner. Also Weber. Fiala for Nashville. Price faces 23 shots; Rinne allows two goals on 43 shots including five in overtime.

….The last meeting between the clubs at the Bell Centre was a 2-1 Nashville shootout win Feb. 22nd last season. Craig Smith with the shootout winner. In that game P.K. led the Canadiens with 30:38 ice time and Shea Weber led the Predators at 28:48.

….All time the Canadiens are 11-6-3 with 1 tie in 21 games vs. the Predators.

Bobrovsky with shutout. @Columbus Dec. 23rd – Columbus-2 Canadiens-1 Gagne & Saad for Blue Jackets. Petry for Montreal. Bobrovsky stops 36 of 37. Montoya 22 of 24.

….The Canadiens have lost their last four games vs. Columbus (0-4-0) and have been outscored 22-5. The last time the Canadiens defeated the Blue Jackets at home was 2-1 Dec. 1, 2015.

….Columbus is 10-10-2 all-time vs. the Canadiens. They have won four straight vs. the Canadiens including both meetings this season.

Home and away the Canadiens 6-0-2 over the last three seasons vs. New Jersey. Two of the games were decided in shootouts, another in overtime.

….Over the last eight seasons the Canadiens have a 9-3-1 record at the Prudential Centre and have outscored the Devils 39-23.

….The last time the Devils defeated the Canadiens at Newark was April 3, 2015; 3-2 in a shootout. The last time the Devils won in regulation time at home was 3-2, March 24, 2013. It was Martin Brodeur’s last career start vs. the Canadiens. Since then the Canadiens are 4-0-1 against them.

The Canadiens last hosted the Islanders at the Bell Centre Nov. 22nd 2015; a 4-2 Canadiens win..

….Last season the Canadiens swept the three games against the Islanders in each of the last two seasons before dropping the Jan. 26th game at Brooklyn.

….The Canadiens have won seven of eight against the Islanders outscoring them 29-17. They’ve also won ten of the last twelve.

….The last time the Islanders won in Montreal was 2-0 April 10th 2014; Nabokov with the shutout. Ryan Strome & Brock Nelson with goals, both on the power play.
